Chances are good that you know someone, and probably several someones, who’re diabetic, or who adhere to a carb-conscious diet. More folks are choosing to get carb-smart every day, and with good reason. Pretty sure most of us don’t need to be going through life all sugared up on carbs.
Because of my own health challenges, I discovered I feel much better when keeping my carb intake low, meaning from about 40-60 carbohydrates a day. Often it’s much less than that, thanks to the ever-growing variety of low-carb foods available, sweetened with low-to-no carb, organic sugars.
Current fav’s for some of my carb-conscious-crew are Monk Fruit in the Raw, Stevia in the Raw, apple-sugar syrup and homemade praline syrup, made with Swerve brand (keto) brown sugar. There are others but so far, these always taste great and can be added to recipes just like processed, bleached cane sugar. They taste great and won’t cause blood-sugar spike.
Bread is a staple for most everyone, and thankfully, this challenge has been met and overcome for keto-lifestylers. I make keto-bread myself. It tastes great. Costs pennies per batch and because my recipe is gluten-free, I can eat it without having gluten-reaction or developing a dizzy, sugar-high. If you’re not great at coming up with your own recipes, don’t fret. The web is packed with wonderful, keto-friendly recipes, tested and tried by folks who love to make them and share them with the rest of us. One of my fav keto-friendly, online chefs goes by the handle of Heavenly Fan. She’s based in England, and has a huge array of keto-friendly foods available on her YouTube channel. Her recipes also tend to be gluten-free, so, if you’re gluten-intolerant, HV’s got you covered without cutting out the flavor!
Like many entrepreneurs, Heavenly Fan is a content producer. Medaning, she provides us a service by making free, informative content. YouTube is the home of her video content and her channel is monetized with tasteful, short advertising. I encourage everyone who uses YouTube to not skip at least one or two ads per video because that’s how the content producers earn a living.
I also hope, if you find her content to be of interest, that you’ll consider subscribing to her channel. Each subscriber helps a channel’s ratings to increase, allowing it to generate greater income for the content producer. Without further ado, here’s how to make Heavenly Fan’s delicious, keto-pancakes!
Just for fun, I'm blending in another link for you. It's the skinny on how to make Pineapple Beer (non-alcoholic version). It's NOT keto-friendly, but if you're not on a carb restriction, it makes for an easy to prep, delicious and very healthy beverage. Just click here to see it, compliments of WarnerWords.
I so appreciate you for taking the time to visit today and hope you found this recipe interesting and will add it to not just your own cookbook favs, but share it with anyone else you know who is living the keto-lifestyle.
Until next time,
Shalom!
