No prescription needed. Organic. Inexpensive. Diabetic-friendly!
If y’all only knew the challenge I’ve had the last few months with elevated (sometimes crazy-high!) blood pressure, you’d understand why I’m so excited about Hawthorn Berries.
During two trips to my doc and two to the hospital, my blood pressure was so high, it got my care team allllll wigged out. They took my vitals and next thing I knew, they were running out of the room, then running right back with an EKG cart. Thankfully, my results were always great and there were no plans made to unzip me and have a look at my heart.
But, after four consecutively exciting episodes, my meds were changed. Both, the med I take for Type II Diabetes and my blood pressure stabilizer.
The changes worked. Things improved for about two weeks and then the battle of the muscle cramps began.
They started as small spasms at night, in my feet. Not terribly painful but uncomfortable enough to wake me up. To get rid of them, I had to get outta bed and stand for a while, then they’d ease up and stop. It went from a couple times a night, to frequent episodes. I was taking plenty of vitamins, including a calcium-magnesium-zinc blend, suggested by my doc, who has other patients that have responded well when needing to maintain a better absorption of magnesium. Yet, even taking it, the cramps continued. In the beginning, I couldn’t tell the new supplement blend was working because the spasms steadily progressed to acute cramps. They developed upward, moving from my feet to my ankles, then my calves, and finally into my thighs. Then I learned about Hawthorn Berries being a homeopathic hypertension med.
Within just a couple days, it went from averaging in the 170s (systolic) down to the low 100s (diastolic) and then lower, into the 140s (systolic) and mid-80s (diastolic). That was without any help from my prescribed med.
Now I’m averaging in the low 130s over the low 80s! Pleased doesn’t cover my reaction. It was more like, “Wowwww!!!!” followed by a dramatic, “Hallelujah!”
Before I go, I wanted to share some further supplements that are a part of what I take daily, which are fish oil and CoQ10. There are others that I take for different reasons, all within the scope of my doc’s suggestion. But, the fish oil and CoQ10 are known to also assist in helping maintain healthy blood pressure, especially when combined with Hawthorn Berries. Thank you for visiting. I pray this post will be a blessing to you or someone you know. Shalom!
And so, I hope you’ll share this info with anyone you know that’s also challenged with hypertension. It may not be a replacement for prescription meds, but yet again, it may work for them as well as it’s working for me.
I’m blessed to have a wonderful doc looking after me. She loves organic medicine alternatives as much as I do. She’s also of the same faith, both of us children of Yeshua the Messiah. That is my most favorite aspect of her. Being on the same page gives me a good bit of confidence and comfort and I pray your relationship with your physician is equally blessed!
