Linda J. White: 1991 & The Tiger's Cage

Per her author’s notes, Linda J. White had a “middle-of-the-night” idea involving the basis for a faith-based thriller. It involved a seasoned FBI agent who’d helped lots of people and made lots of enemies. One disliked him enough to steal his son.

Next morning, Linda mentioned the possibilities of the plot to her husband Larry, a producer-director at the FBI Academy. His reaction was positive. “That’d make a great story!”

Larry began bringing her along to the academy, introducing her to FBI agents who schooled her with their expertise. She took what they’d shared and began developing the story in notes. About a year later, she completed The Tiger’s Cage. From there, a wonderful career began to unfold. She has since gained fans around the globe with her master-crafted, faith-based thrillers.

Linda delivers intense action throughout this book, stuff that’s both heart-gripping and heart-warming. She also does it without employing a single bit of adult language. Her books are known for being young-adult-reader friendly while never lacking in quality plots, characters and action.
My familiarity with her work began only a few years ago when my sister suggested I give one of her books a read. I chose Bloody Point from Nee’s library and snap! I was an insta-fan.

I chose to use a review of The Tiger’s Cage as my first post here because it’s a great read, it was Linda’s first novel and also because she’s one of the most considerate, best-selling authors I’ve ever encountered.

We’ve never met in person, but she has taken the time to correspond with my sister and me. She’s warm, friendly and we share a love for the great state of Virginia, where we’ve all lived and have a common familiarity with many of the same areas there.
Past that, and most importantly, we have common ground in being sisters in Christ and are passionate in sharing the Good News about Jesus wherever we can. Linda is a national-award-winning journalist and a women's ministry speaker.

The Tiger’s Cage easily took the premier spot on this blog for all of those reasons and I hope you’ll consider reading this sincerely intriguing story. You’ll be amazed at how much of it is likely to sync with your own life or those of others close to you.

The Tiger’s Cage is more than a great good story. It can easily be a life-changer.
If you’ve readers in your family who aren’t familiar with her work yet, I encourage you to introduce them. Her books make great gifts!

Finally, a ShoutOut to the Poseyville Carnegie Public Library, where I borrow books for photos (and occasional reads) to include in reviews. I’m happy to report that multiple Linda J. White novels grace their shelves. Recently, one of the librarians there reported that Linda’s books are crazy-popular. If your library is lacking them, maybe a nudge in this author’s direction will encourage them to develop their own collection of Linda J. White’s work.

That’s it for this one.

Shalom and thanks for your visit!
