Since researching and publishing last week’s post, I’ve been test-driving recipes with unpeeled bananas. So far I’m loving everything about them! Taste, texture, fast and easy prep and minimal cook time. What’s not to love? Maybe the banana flavor--some folks don’t like ‘em at all, but pretty sure they still rank as a global fav.
Most weeks I don’t eat breakfast, and my first meal-time for the day is noon or after. Today, I wanted to share with you the dish (pictured above) that took me less than five minutes to assemble.
I took a banana from the bunch. Washed it with warm water and Dawn. Rinsed it. Sliced it up with the peeling on. Dusted it with cinnamon and ginger and ooooo-la-la! It was the bomb!
Bananas, even for diabetics (when eaten in moderation and proper portions) are such a healthy food choice, and even more so when still dressed in their peels! So, in order to encourage those who’ve grown up eating them but in cultures where it’s not common to eat the peeling too, here ya go! One of my first attempts to tempt you into at least tryingggg them dressed in their cute yellow suits! If you’ve not eaten them yet, I’ll say the textures are wonderful! The fruit flesh is soft but firm. The peelings are both soft and slightly crunch, in the best of ways!
Thank you so much for your visit today!
Hope I’ve managed to tempt you to at least give this oh-so-simple, super-healthy and amazingly-affordable recipe a try! If you’re already in the know, and have been eating bananas in suits, please let us know in the comments, what ways you like them best. “Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good. Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him.” Psalm 34
‘Til next time,
Shalom
