In a news update from a citizen journalist, I watched a video made by someone entering Trader Joe’s–one of several in a group, who entered the Santa Cruz location without wearing masks.
In event you haven't seen it, I'd love to give you the link to the vid, but it's since been removed from UToob, so, I'll give you a brief overview of its content.
The unmasked group was refused service unless they masked up and also asked to vacate the premises if they were unwilling to wear masks.
Rather than leaving, these folks continued to browse items in the store, one even managing to make a purchase before they regrouped. The entire time they shopped, they were harassed and threatened by Trader Joe’s employees.
Did their excursion change or solve anything? Nope.
To my knowledge, Trader Joe’s still has a mask order in place, requiring customers and employees to wear them.
The Trader Joe’s excursion by unmasked visitors, in my estimation, had nothing positive about it, in regards to the pursuit of freedom. It was exactly opposite of what operating in freedom is all about.
The right gets angry when they’re sued for refusal to render service to clients they don’t want to do business with. The left pushes to remove the freedom to refuse service and force businesses to serve any client that wants to hire them or purchase their products.
The boycott of individuals and companies in relation to Mike Lindell and My Pillow products is an excellent example of how a free market system works. Individuals and companies who dislike Lindell and/or his products can simply choose to spend their money elsewhere. Those who prefer to maintain support of Lindell and My Pillow can purchase directly from the My Pillow business. A sincerely blonde-friendly, easy, free-market solution.
What the Right did in their Trader Joe’s excursion was no different than the Left bullying Jack Phillips, the bakery owner in Colorado for refusing to provide service to a gay couple’s wedding. It’s Mr. Phillips’ right to refuse service to anyone. It’s the gay couple’s right to shop elsewhere.
Another example, that I’ve yet to see because the Left has been historically eager to attack and pounce on the Judeo-Christian owned businesses, but rarely do we see (in fact, I’ve never seen an incident reported) of the the Left pulling these same sort of bullying tactics with the Muslim-owned business community) would be if a gentile walked into a Muslim owned deli, demanding them to put pork products on their menu.
We all need to be like-minded in the insistence to maintain liberty. Many lives were spent to establish it and once gone, it’ll likely never be regained.
"...keeping a clear conscience, so that those who speak maliciously against your good behavior in Christ may be ashamed of their slander." 1st Peter 3:16
