The world is perhaps quieter than it’s been in two millennia. In my 55 years, I’ve never experienced global seclusion, to even a small extent. This one is epic.
The solitude hasn’t been much of a bother for me. Country folks have wide, open spaces with beautiful views to still the spirit, allowing the soul to be awed by God’s amazing creativity. This week, especially, with His people’s mind on the battle He fought for us on the cross, ignites us with hope in His perfect plans.
With the mainstream media (MSM) saturating the airwaves with sensational gloom and doom, I have been able to stay the course by remembering to Whom I belong, He who holds my life in His hands.
11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV) I choose the Rock that is higher than I. He is my refuge. Specifically, in regards to the mandated isolation, a friend reminded me of a scripture that has been leaned on by many during this time of seclusion. 20 Go, my people, enter your rooms and shut the doors behind you; hide yourselves for a little while until his wrath has passed by. 21 See, the Lord is coming out of his dwelling to punish the people of the earth for their sins. The earth will disclose the blood shed on it; the earth will conceal its slain no longer. Isaiah 26:20 and 21 (NIV) Thank you Rolly Chabot! You, your work and your faith are a blessing!
On Good Friday 2020, the sun is shining bright, at least in my area of the central United States. Farmers are in the fields making ready for the planting of seeds.
It takes just a tiny seed of faith to gain God’s attention. There is nothing on this planet, or any other realm, that compares to the treasure of being the object of His attention. It’s there we can either humble ourselves and bask in the greatest love mankind will ever encounter, or rebel and reject Him. I choose to live, breath and have my being in Him, every moment of every day. It’s my prayer that during this time of separation that those who haven’t reached for Him, will consider it, and even better, just do it. There’s nothing to lose in reaching for Jesus. In the doing, there’s everything to gain.
Therefore I especially encourage Christians to consider purchasing it as a gift for folks who aren’t familiar with God, as well as reading it themselves. In this book of factual current and historical events and prophecies, God truly shows up and shows out in bringing out the absolutely impossible, that shaped our world, the lives of everyone in it and brought us, YOU to where you are today!
Please give it a read. It's nigh on mind-blowing. Thanks for your visit and the read! Prayers for a blessed, Holy weekend in His perfect care. Shalom
