Book two, of the Angels On High duo, doesn’t miss a beat in picking up where book one leaves off. I’ll warn you, tissues are gonna be essential for both books, and not because they’re sad--I’m talkin’ happy tears!
Both books include multiple supernatural encounters and circumstances that will make any Christian wanna stand up and cheer for the good guys, and in The Challenge, those aspects become even more depthy and profound.
The Challenge was well named because the one woven into the story is gripping enough that even though I’ve read it before, during my read-thru this week, I was again on the edge of my seat through most of it.
New characters are introduced, and we’re taken deeper into the lives and histories of the characters and places you’ll grow to love to love in the first book.
The Challenge is set largely in autumn and winter. I got drawn in enough that I sipped coffee and ginger tea, under a warm comforter until I finished it. It’s a good sized book but I read it in less than a day.
In event you missed last week’s review of Angels On High, just click here to see it. Like this one, it’s short and it’ll give you an idea of what you can expect from the story, without any spoilers.
Also, I want to leave a reminder, that this book is not only worthy of purchasing for yourself, as well as gifts for loved ones, but the author, Walt Deecki Sr., is a disabled veteran, USAF Retired. Your interaction with his work will be an appreciated blessing to him and his family. Just click here to get it from Amazon.com
“Give, and it shall be given unto you: good measure, pressed down and shaken together and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete, therewith it shall be measured to you again.” Luke 6:38
